At New Leaf Together CIC, we believe that every young person—regardless of their challenges—deserves dignity, empowerment, and the opportunity to thrive. As a Community Interest Company, we are committed to providing tailored support and care plans for young people aged 8–19 with severe and complex needs. Our approach is built on compassion, inclusivity, and a deep understanding of each individual’s unique journey.

Our Mission & Values

Our mission is simple: to create safe, inclusive spaces where young people can develop confidence, skills, and independence, supported by a team that understands their needs.

Inclusivity – Every young person is valued, heard, and supported.
Empowerment – We provide tailored opportunities for personal growth.
Safety & Wellbeing – Our services uphold strict safeguarding standards.
Community Engagement – Collaboration strengthens our impact.

With structured care plans, accessible resources, and respite services, we give families peace of mind, knowing that their child’s well-being is at the heart of everything we do.

I’m the Founder and Managing Director of New Leaf Together CIC. My journey into this work began long before the organisation was created. As a qualified primary teacher specialising in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), I spent over a decade supporting children and young people with autism, severe learning difficulties (SLD), and complex needs.

Alongside this professional experience, I was raising my own neurodivergent child — a bright, sensitive young person who was being failed by the education system and desperately needed something different. These dual perspectives gave me deep insight into the daily realities families face when navigating the SEND system: the heartbreak, the frustration, and the lack of suitable, reliable care and respite.

Over the years, I witnessed the growing and urgent need for high-quality, local wraparound support — especially for families of children with severe and complex needs. The serious lack of appropriate post-16 provision and the absence of accessible, tailored care across Winchester and surrounding areas became impossible to ignore. These gaps not only create logistical barriers, but place emotional strain on families and have long-term social consequences for the young people at the heart of it all.

Out of this lived experience — both personal and professional — the idea for New Leaf Together CIC was born. Our work is rooted in empathy, experience, and a belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive within their own community. We aim to provide practical, compassionate, community-based support that truly makes a difference — for young people, for families, and for the future we’re growing together.
